This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Platform"). - Provider Information: Business-specific data including business name, address, images, qualifications, experience, pricing, and service categories.
- Verification Data: We collect social media handles for internal identity verification purposes. Note: These handles are used for verification only and are not displayed publicly on your Eevent profile.
- Usage Data: Automatically collected via Google Analytics, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and navigation patterns.
- Communication Data: Information provided when you communicate with us through emails, social platforms, or other support channels.
2. Integrated Services & Social Data
We provide tools to simplify your experience while ensuring you maintain full control over your data.
- Unified Social Logins: Our Platform uses Google, Facebook, and Apple login options to collect basic user information (such as name and email) for secure account registration.
- Manual Review Imports: Providers have full control over their reputation. The integration of Google and Facebook reviews or ratings is not automatic; it must be manually selected and initiated by the user.
- Google Calendar Sync: Connecting your Google Calendar enables a 2-way sync to identify "busy" slots to prevent double-bookings and export confirmed Eevent bookings back to your personal calendar.
3. Payments & Identity Verification (Stripe)
Eevent.com.au partners with Stripe to provide secure financial and identity services.
- Secure Transactions: All payments (including Credit/Debit cards, Direct Debits, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Afterpay, and PayTo) are processed via Stripe. Eevent does not store your full financial details.
- Provider Onboarding: To receive payouts or request deposits, Providers connect via Stripe. Sensitive information, such as government-issued IDs and bank details, is provided directly to Stripe.
- Subscriptions: Monthly or annual Provider subscriptions are managed via Stripe with no lock-in contracts (cancel anytime).
4. Age Guidelines
Eevent.com.au is intended for use by adults. While there is no technical block for registration, we recommend a minimum age of 18 years for Providers and 16 years for Customers. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these guidelines or are using the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
5. How We Use & Share Your Information
We use your data to operate the Platform, connect users, process payments, and improve the user experience.
- No AI Training: We do not use your personal information, communications, or media to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.
- Service Providers: We share data with third parties who help us operate the Platform, such as analytics and Australian-based hosting providers.
- Overseas Disclosure: To maintain and develop the Platform, your information may be accessed by our technical development team located outside of Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure these recipients handle your data in a manner consistent with Australian Privacy Principles.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent harm.
6. Data Retention, Deletion & Your Choices
- Access & Updates: You can update your information at any time through your account settings.
- Retention Policy: Imported social media data, reviews, and specific media uploads are retained to maintain profile integrity. We do not automatically delete social media data or specific uploads.
- Requesting Deletion: Users can request data deletion at any time by contacting Eevent:
- Facebook/Social Data: Processed within 48 hours.
- General Account Data: Processed within 30 days.
- Google Control: You can disconnect Google services via settings at any time; associated Google data stored on our servers will be deleted upon disconnection.
7. Cookies & Security
- Cookies: We use cookies to remember your preferences and provide a personalised experience.
- Security: We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including the use of secure servers located in Australia and encryption. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
